About Us
Why We Exist
Nigeria's biggest untapped resource isn't oil or land, it's the energy, intelligence, and ambition of its young people, who too often hit walls with their potential, a lack of digital literacy that leaves them vulnerable, and a skills gap that locks capable young people out of meaningful work.
SIBCDI exists to take those walls down, not by talking about transformation from a distance, but by building it inside the schools, streets, and community halls where it's needed most.
We started in 2022 as Global Builders Initiative, a community-based organization with a simple conviction that lasting development isn't handed down, it's built up by the people who live in the communities themselves. In September 2025, we formalized that work, registering with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission under our current name, Sustainable Impact Builders Community Development Initiative (SIBCDI), and sharpening our focus on program aligned with eight United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We design and deliver community-rooted program across interconnected areas of SDG 5, 8, 9, 10, 16, AND 17 not by arriving with answers but listening first, build local capacity second, and only then scale so that what we build outlasts our presence.

Since 2022, SIBCDI has worked across three states, directly reaching more than 6,000 people including over 200 trained GBV advocates, more than 3,000 secondary school students through our school-based program sessions, and over 500 community members reached through our virtual sessions.
Meet Our Core Team
Formerly GBI, SIBCDI is run by a committed team of 5 staff members and 10 volunteers who bring a mix of program design, advocacy, training, and community organizing experience, all united by the belief that sustainable change is built locally, person by person.
